Shamie's "Felicity" Page

Okay, here is my explanation about the reason for this site, for those of you who don't know.
My father-in-law, Woody Crocker, is in the T.V. Industry. Exciting, eh? Well, I thought so!!! He is a Production Designer. What that means is that he designs and bulds all the sets and also builds or buys all furniture for the shows he works on. Now, this may not sound glamorous (and it really isn't!) but it can be fun to be the daughter-in-law, because I get to go see the sets... and meet the actors, too!! Oh, didn't I mention that before? :-)
Anyway, over Labor Day weekend, my husband and I went down to Los Angeles to visit him, and we also got a tour of the sets of "Felicity," which is the show he is currently working on. How many of you remember the T.V. show "Northern Exposure"? Well, Woody Crocker was the production designer for that show, too. As a matter of fact, I actually appeared on an episode of "Northern Exposure"... well, at least my elbow did!! That's all that made it onto the screen! Oh well, so much for fame and glory.
Back to my story... we visited two different "Felicity" sets over the weekend, and we got pictures taken with both Keri Russell (Felicity herself!) and Scott Foley (the ever-hunky Noel).
I guess I'd just better shut up and let the pictures speak for themselves...

This is Us (Shamie and her Husband) in front of the sign Woody made especially because of us. The Husband and I live in a small town called Carlton, and he made this sign as an inside joke. We couldn't resist getting our picture taken in front of it! Felicity and Ben drove by this fictional Ball of Yarn town on their cross-country trip.

This is me in Dean and Deluca, the coffeehouse where Ben and Felicity work. Don't let the show deceive you... all of these sets are indoors! The magic of television... and Woody is a master of illusion. The streets outside the coffeehouse are wood and break into three or more pieces for easy set-changes, and are covered with grey felt so they look like concrete. The real New York location of Dean and Deluca has been replicated here, down to the Victoria's Secret across the street.

This is me in Felicity's room in the dorm, which we all know she is again sharing with the evil Meghan. Woody wanted us to specifically picture the windowframes in this picture... he is especially proud of them. Don't ask me why. Notice the easel with the painting... a bit of foreshadowing, maybe?

Noel's apartment... God only knows where Woody found the vintage refridgerator and stove!!! He has his sources... Behind us, in the window, is the "brick" wall that is used in many scenes as backgrounds. Am I taking the mystery out of this show for any of you???

Ahhh... lounging on Noel's bed... don't you all wish you were in my place??? Notice the wallpaper... in an upcoming episode, everyone will be helping Noel paint the apartment. This beautiful wallpaper will be gone... sigh.

The two of us, on Noel's bed... if he only knew what I was *really* thinking!!! LOL!

Husband, Keri Russell, and me. (Boy, Keri is reeeaalllly tiny!! I'm 5'5", and Husband is 6'0") This picture was taken at the Paramount Studios. They were filming an episode in Seinfeld's old subway set. I believe it is the sixth episode of the season... and I promised to not give away any plotlines!!! Just so you all know, Keri Russell is a very sweet and sincerely nice person.

Okay, here it is!!! The famous picture of me and Scott Foley!!! You can't see it very well in this picture, but he's hugging me! Whooo-hooo! LOL! Scott Foley is better-looking in person, I'm sorry to say. And all you schmucks lost out! Hehehehe! He was extremely nice, as well. And Woody enjoyed showing his youngest son off to all his workmates! All in all, it was a great time.
