The most recent pic of us, taken September 9th, 2000. We decided to
go dressed up to the Shrewsbury Rennaisance Faire in
Philomath, Oregon that weekend. It's the DH (Tyke), Me, Mel,
and Dave in this pic. Don't you love my husband's kilt??
This was taken over Labor Day Weekend in 2000... up at Mt. St. Helens, where
(typically!) it rained!! And we didn't get to see the mountain. Sigh.
Dave and Mel at Mt. St. Helens.
Jim and Stacey at Mt. St. Helens.
The quilt I gave to Mel.
Last year's picture of Us, taken in L.A. (obviously!) over Labor Day Weekend. This shot is from Griffith Park, at the observatory.
A portrait of us taken July 3, 1999.
This is Tyke and I on our wedding day... October 11, 1997.
We had a wonderful, beautiful wedding. The weather was perfect (for Oregon: I was hoping it
wouldn't rain): it was sunny, yet not too warm, and there were very few snags (for a wedding!).
From left to right: Stacey (my maid of honor), Jim (the best man), me (Christy), Tyke, Mel, and Dave.
This picture of "The Group," as we call ourselves, was taken at my wedding in 1997.
Tyke and I were the first couple of The Group to be married. Since then, Dave and Mel have been married,
and Jim and Stacey are going to be married this July.
This is us again! The Group at Dave and Mel's wedding in August of 1998.
From left to right: Tyke, me, Mel, Dave, Stacey, and Jim.
Now for the children... I don't have any yet myself, but this is my niece and nephew, Ayra and Carson.
Aren't they beautiful??? Ayra is 4, and Carson is only 6 months.
They live in North Carolina with my brother Tom and his wife Reba.
This is my niece, Danann. This picture was taken of her at Christmastime, when she was 3 months old. Isn't she cute???
This is Peat!
Need I say more?
This is Kitty! (Real original, huh?) His real name is D.C., but I have always called him "Kitty."
I rescued him from the Humane Society in 1990 when he was 6 months old.
He was nearly starved so when he got to my house, he made up for lost time and porked out big time!
His nickname is "Slug-kitty." But I love him to death, and he was a great companion when I was in college.
This little grey kitty is Roxanne. She is half Russian Blue, half... something else,
and as a Calico kitty, she is very feisty, and is quite the huntress! If she were able to have kittens,
she would be a great mom. As it is, she brings us "gifts" almost daily.
Shrews, mice, and starlings are her favorite fare.
This is the Xena puppy! We adopted her from the Humane Society, too, right after we moved into
our house in 1997. Xena is a "mixed breed," part Rottweiler, Black Lab, Shar Pei, and Collie.
You can see the blue spots on her tongue... everyone always thinks she has eaten a black inkpen!
She is a great dog, very protective of us.
