Sky's Bio

(I don't have a picture of Sky yet...)

1. What is your real name? Heather Morton

2. When is your birthday? (feel free to leave out the year for you elderly types...)Oct 16, 1963 (OK, so I'm one of the elderly types)

3. Place of residence? small town Southern Ontario

4. Why do you like to chat? I really like all the friends I've made, and sometimes, this is the only adult conversation I have all day! (see question 5)

5. What do you do in real life? I'm a stay at home Mom, and a volunteer for several organizations

6. What do you do for fun, besides chatting? I LOVE to bake, and do handiwork (cross stitch, knit, crochet etc.), read (other than children's stories) when I find the time, and of course, spend time with my family. I also play guitar, piano, organ and sing, and write a bit of music.

7. Personal motto? Relax!!

8. Favorite Earth's Children book? That's a hard one. Clan of the Cave Bear, I think.

9. Least favorite Earth's Children book? Definitely Plains of Passage.

10. Favorite Earth's Children character? I always liked Iza and Nezzie, because I can see myself in them.

11. Favorite H.C.C. moment? Well, all the 'parties' were great (P and BB and Jac's birthday) but I also liked ec's NFH story. Although I'm sure it wasn't fun at the time, it made a great story!

12. Why did you decide to come to the chat in the first place? Well, I've tried a few other chat rooms, but they were awful! I was hoping just to find a few people to meet with occasionally, but I found all of you instead!

13. If you were a character in an Earth's Children book, which tribe would you belong to? Hadumai. Although we don't have six living generations, I have a large and close extended family.

14. What is your "bird"? Would you believe, Skylark.

15. What is one thing about yourself that the H.C.C.'s don't know? We have a large children's library in our home--over 1000 books! Reading is so important, and we try to encourage it at every opportunity. I also like to read in my 'spare' time, although it's often just a few pages before I go to sleep (usually with the light still on and a book in my hand).
