The Day HHS Got A

BOMB THREAT

Period 3: Casey's Creative Writing class & Sam's Gym class
S: Well, I was playing volleyball, but I previously had heard about a bomb threat. After volleyball was over, I was talking to Matt and Josh about it.
C: I was in creative writing when I heard about it. It wasn't a big deal, just gossip. The principle came on over the loud speaker and said that no one would be going home. So I didn't give it much of a second thought.
S: My class didn't hear about it because there aren't any loud speakers in the gym.

Period 4: Casey and Sam's Study Hall
S: By this time, I was getting a little nervous. I heard some kid talking about going to the office and getting permission to go home on my way to study hall. In study hall, I was talking to Maggie about how the bomb is probably in the pop machine, like in 'The X-Files Movie'. We laughed about it.
C: So Sam, because she never heard the annoucement, was psyched and wanted to go home with me so we could hang out. I was confused, because the principle said we couldn't. Then, a nice math teacher named Mr. Stowe came in and told us that we could go home, as long as we had a ride. That was all we needed to hear. Me and Sam were bustin' out.
S: I didn't have a pass book, so I couldn't go to the office. Josh lent me his and Casey and I went down to the office, where all the commotion began.
C: Three quaters of the school was crammed in there trying to get rides. As we were about to get to the phone, Mrs. Bernmiere (who is a bitch) had this brilliant idea where we would give her our parent's names and phone numbers, and she'd call them. (We had to have parental permission to leave.) So I gave her my mom's number, and me and Sam waited.
S: And waited and waited. I decided to call my dad so he wouldn't get freaked out about Mrs. Bernmiere calling him about a bomb threat. Then, I went back to the office and Casey wanted to get a hold of her mom, but...
C: But, Mr. Fat Ass vice principle said that we couldn't use the pay phones. So, we mistakenly left our fate in the hands of Mrs. Bernmiere.

Period 5: Our Lunch... usually.
C: So by now all hell is breaking loose. Students are running all over the school and teachers are frantic. Finally, Mrs. Bitch told us that she called Sam's dad, and it was okay with him to go home with me. She said she got permission from my mom and we could go. So we went running out of the school and romped around in the snow waiting for my mom. Quite a while went by, and we began to doubt whether or not she actually called. There was so much going on, and her brain is so small, I could see how she would've made a mistake.
S: Ok, so We are gettin a little antsy and I am the most impatient person in the world, so I told Casey to go call her mom on the pay phone.
C: But, when I tried to call, Mr. Fat Ass came over AGAIN and said we had to use the office phone. So, mad as I could be, I went to the office. Mrs. Bernmiere was there, so I asked her if she called my mom. She said that my mom said my DAD would pick us up. Just remember that for later.
S: Once again, Casey and I waited outside, while the privaleged few who could drive left.
C: Now this was even weirder, 'cause my dad's bank is like, 2 mintues from our school. It's been about 45 mintues now, and we're cold.
S: My impatience was shining through by now. I suggested that if her dad didn't come for us at the count of 100, we go to his office. So we counted. So we left.
C: We took the dangerous hike to my dad's bank. We trespassed on a lot of property on the way there, all the while laughing at how bad we are. Making an escape from school, when we were supposed to be leaving with our parents mind you, and walking down the freeway.
S: Yeahdawgyeah. Casey didn't want to go to her dads work, and I didn't want to cross the busy intersection. So we stopped at Penzoil, which is right across from her dads work. We found the payphone and, lo and behold, the 3 and 6 buttons were broken! We found another phone there luckily. We called Casey's mom. No one there. We called her house. No one there. Finally we called her gramma.
C: By now we were cold and frantic. We started hearing sirens, and an ambluence came flying down the road. Sam said "Oh no, someone must've pulled a gun." Luckily, it turned. We don't know where it was going. I was hoping gramma didn't answer then, because if she heard about the threat, and then heard me on the phone going "GRAMMA HELP US!!!" with sirens in the background, she might get freaked.
S: So her grandma agreed to pick us up. After hanging up with her, we went inside Penzoil to warm up a bit. We felt kind of bad for not making any purchases.
C: I was kinda scared, because my hands hurt but at the same time I couldn't feel them because of the cold. But eventually they started tingling horribly, and the feeling came back. Gramma came and brought us back to back to my house. It was near the normal people's time to eat lunch (our lunch at school is at like 10:30), and we were expecting my mom home for lunch.
S: We were afraid she was, like, out there looking for us, since she or supposedly Casey's dad was supposedly supposed to pick us up. We called her work and left a message, and since Casey doesn't like her dad very much, we ignored the probably good idea of calling him. Eventually Casey's mom, Debbie, did come home, *very* surprised to see us! Obviously, under normal circumstances, Casey would not have been home, and I certainly would not have been with her! Can we say "skipping"?
C: Before saying anything about our situation, I asked my shocked mother of she got a call from Mrs. Bermiere. Of course, she had not. So we told her the whole ordeal and fumed over what a stupid bitch Mrs. Bernmiere was, and how we would've been at the damn school all day had we not broken the law and escaped.
S: So, Casey's dad never knew any of this went on until he came home for dinner later that day. This is just one of the *many* reasons we do not care for our alma mater. Hickory High, to thee we vomit.
