It's the wish of the HBS to share with you a form of Buddhism that was founded by Nichiren Shonin, a buddhist priest and reformer who would make the promise of enlightenment available to all the world.
Nichiren created a Buddhist practice that lacked the need for all the mental effort. This is not to say that it is not important to learn as you practice, but one doesn't have to learn secret mantras and esoteric rites to practice Buddhism. As a matter of fact all one has to say is Namu Myohorengekyo. The fact that this practice is so easy made Nichiren very popular amongst the the common people of his time. It is the wish of the HBS that through the practice of this Buddhism you can reach enlightenment and possibly learn more about Nichiren Shonin in the process.
