Pound Cake

Bring all ingredients to room temperature.
1/2 lb butter 1 cup milk
1/2 cup Crisco 1/2 tsp baking powder
3 cups sugar 1 tsp vanilla
3 cups plain flour 1 tsp lemon juice
5 eggs
Sift together flour and baking powder and put aside. Cream together butter and Crisco. Add sugar, then add one egg at a time. Begin adding flour and milk alternately. When mixed well add vanilla and lemon juice. Bake at 325ºF for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes.
