This recipe came from my mother-in-law and these are some of the best chili beans I've ever had!

Mom's Chili Beans

1 lb hamburger 2 cans (16 oz) pinto beans
1 small onion, chopped 1 pkg chili powder
1 small green pepper, chopped 1 (16 oz) can of tomato sauce
1 (16 oz) can diced tomatoes 1 pkg cheddar cheese

Brown hamburger, onion, and green pepper in pan. Transfer to pot and add chili powder, tomato sauce and 2 cans water. Stir till mixed well then add diced tomatoes and pintos. Simmer for an hour. Add more water if too thick.
