Course Objectives
- To define motor speech disorders in children as a group of speech
production problems, including dysarthria and multiple forms of apraxia.
- To identify clinical characteristics of motor speech disorders in
children.
- To select and employ appropriate assessment and intervention
procedures in cases of motor speech disorders of childhood.

Dr. Crary is
well-known for his research and clinical interests with children who have motor speech
disorders. He is a Professor of Speech- Language Pathology and Chair of the Department of
Communicative Disorders at the University of Florida Health Science Center, and is author
of Developmental Motor Speech Disorders.
The Workshop is open to both clinicians and families with the
understanding that the level of discussion will be at the intermediate professional
level. Immediately following the conference Dr. Crary will participate in a special parent
reception. |
