Did I ever tell you I love fish and collect fish figurines? Could you tell? *LOL* Hi, for those that don't know me my name is Briana (pronounced Bree-on-uh. Most people think its Bree-an-a but its not!). This was one of the top 10 names for girls in 1999 (but it was spelled Brianna). I remember when I was the only one!! Oh, I get asked this a lot - "Is that you in those pictures?" Yep. How could I get that many pictures of someone else? *S*
I went to college at Northwood University. The University is located in Midland, Michigan. If you are considering going there, let me know. I'd be happy to discuss it with you!
I graduated with a computer science/management degree in May.
I was working at Monitor Sugar Company. I
was their webmaster and I worked in the computer department with them. Sign the guestbook and let them know I sent ya!! I
also worked at Dow Chemical Co. doing mostly file security, and I was the webmaster for the Chemicals and Metals department there.
I now work at a major bank in the Detroit area and I love it. I love spending quality time with Joe, the love of my life!
40 months of togetherness for us and more! And wegot engaged 11-22-98!! No wedding plans yet - well not
yet.
I have a computer science management degree and I really like computers, duh. I am familiar with the Cobol, MS Office package, Novell Networking, Windows NT, computer maintenance, rebuilds, Paint Shop Pro,
SQL, Visual Fox Pro, JCL, a little DB2 and, obviously, HTML:)
Ok, I hate movies! No really. OK, not hate them but I am picky! I only like comedies, especially romantic ones. I love I.Q. (with Tim Robbins, one of my Fav. actors!) and while we are on the subject of Tim Robbins, Shawshank Redemption is an EXCELLENT movie. I give it 5 stars! Scream2 is good too, but I like Jerry O'Connell, that's why! Just saw For the Love of the Game - Totally awesome movie!!
I also like Grumpy old Men and Grumpier old Men. I laughed my butt off!! They are great! The other movies I like are Adam Sandler movies, like Happy Gilmore is a favorite! The last movie I will mention before I bore you to death is Picture Perfect. Great movie! That's it from my favorites. No action movies for me. Don't like them. I am the type of person that loves a good laugh! *haha*
I love music more than anything, well besides computers and Joe!! Music is so cool. Ok, you are going to ask what I like. I love 80's music, yes it's that soft rock stuff. Maybe I like it so much because I grew up with it and I can think of a memory for every song I hear! It is great for making you think about stuff. I also like Alternative, some rap, some 70's old rock, pop; Pretty much everything but oldies and most country.
Among my favorite artists are Phil Collins, George Michael, REO Speedwagon, Richard Marx, Sarah McLaughlin, and Heart to name a few. I love 80's compilation CD's. If you know of any good ones, let me know! I have a lot of them already. If you like 80's then write me, I would love to compare music with you!
I also LOVE mp3's. I know there are mixed views on them but most people I know love them too. It is the BEST program out there for them!
Ok, here I bet is the fun section. I would laugh if the people I talk about read these! When I was in High School I went out with many guys. It was because I was a flirt. I had a lot of experiences. Here are some!:
I went out with this guy, Wayne, for a little while. He was a Pepsi vendor for the store I worked for. He was really cute. So believe it or not, I asked him out. All the guys I worked with told me to watch out. We hung around for a little while. He found me after school one day, hid so I wouldn't see him and when I walked out to my car I had a half dozen roses in my windshield. I was so happy. He had told me he had a psycho ex-girlfriend who would not leave him alone. I didn't think much of it until he started not coming to my house when he said he would. Then one day she called me up. I didn't understand it. He said that while he was working for her brother, he had to use the cell phone he had, and she got the number from the bill. Let me tell you, he was slick. So it came down to at the end, I told him to take a hike, I actually got to be almost buddies with this other girl. I couldn't believe it, after he had cheated on his ex, not once with me, but twice with someone before, she still wanted him. What an idiot! I told her, well if you let him do it these 2 times, he will do it again. Last I heard, they were engaged, but I bet that doesn't stop him. Weird huh?
I had a picture of one ex-boyfriend in my bikini. It was such a funny picture. He wouldn't let me have it back!
Went out with a guy, Troy, who went to Germany to visit for 2 weeks. I missed him so much, I drank out of the straw he gave me for 2 weeks straight whenever I needed to drink something. I missed him so much. Then, I went to his Meijer (the store he worked for) work party, and met a guy, Jason. He told me that he had cheated on me right before he left to Germany. Found out that was true, dumped him and went out with Jason for 2 weeks. That didn't last long either.
That reminds me, I went with this guy that I met when doing volunteer work to his company party. I ended up going home with Tim, who I dated for a long time. Tim was a great guy, but he was also 21 and I think I was 17, and he went to the bar, and I couldn't. He had gone places, I guess I wasn't allowed and so that didn't last long.
The last boyfriend, before Joe, had gotten mad one night when I went with Steve, a friend, to Detroit for New Years party. So he called after 12:00am, I told him they were shooting off machine guns next door, he freaked out and said he was coming to get me. I told him, no way, and he got mad and punched a garage door, broke his hand, and didn't know until 5 days later when it was too late and he needed to get steel plate in it.
All the guys I date LOVE my back massages. This includes friends and I get asked to do it for money sometimes.
I could go on but I bet I am boring you!
Um, I said enough about me. If there is anything else you think I should put on this page, or add any more war stories, let me know!
