money for the batch’s fundraising projects. This is voluntary and may also be
paid in installment. It was explained again that the Php 4,000.00 contribution
was computed by dividing the Php 300,000.00 projected expenses the homecoming
celebration will be needing to the 70 batch mates found by the membership
committee as of Sep 11, 2004.
§
Contributions
in cash or check should be given to Cecile Ventura or Sharon Reyes who maintains
a joint account for our batch’s collections.

In a
previous meeting, Eileen Papa who is an auditor by profession, volunteered her
free services to audit all our fundraising activities to keep the transparency
of our books.
6.
Membership Update was reported by Mica C. Kerkdijk:
§
The
total number of Batch ’81 graduates is 184.
§
To date,
a total of 88 batchmates are listed in our membership directory.
63 batchmates are in the Philippines; 22 batchmates are in USA; balance residing in other countries
§
Everyone
is enjoined to continue looking for batchmates so that we can have majority
accounted for by Homecoming.
§
Our
group was divided into 3 groups according to our place of residence
§
North
sector headed by Dondi N. Catan; South sector headed by Emma Samarista; Central
sector headed by Rita “Bel” Castro. Mica handed the list of members per
sector to the Sector Heads for ease in coordination.
7.
Alumni Board Report was presented by Estela Tanchoco:
§
Our
batch is encouraged to pay the alumni membership dues during our homecoming
celebration next year. Yearly dues is only Php 250.
§
The life
membership payment of Php 5,000.00 that will be paid to the Board will be used
for the Estelita Juco Foundation and the SPC vigil house. The Board at present
has several charitable beneficiaries.
§
Estela
discussed with the Board our planned fundraising events namely the Little
Mermaid play by Trumpets, a concert at Dish, Bingo Social, etc.
§
Guidelines
for using the SPC Foundation’s name for fundraising events was discussed and
permitted but we have to submit first our proposal to the Board for approval
since they will definitely have a cut in the revenues of the event.
§
Estela,
in behalf of our batch suggested that the President’s report during the
homecoming event be shortened and instead copies of the full report be
distributed to the alumni.
§
We will
open to the Board in their next meeting, through Estela, if we can do away
with the raffle since the batch agrees that it is too tedious to sell
tickets and collect payments. Instead we will include in our fundraising
projects the income the raffle generates or we can provide the prizes for the
raffle but we will not be a part of the selling of the tickets.
§
The
