*It's All  Kharisma*

Who am I? so you want to know

Am a chocolate covered Sister from the depths of Ghana

Indeed am an African Queen who's grace and beauty lies within.

I have raised upon my obstacles to make myself who I am today.

Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes and Toni Morrison

have inspired me to persue my goal as a Writer.

Yeah a Writer.  Not a Doctor or Lawyer like most folks but a Journalist or Poet.

I have overwhelming respect for my ancestors who survived through the struggles of slavery.

My life "hasn't been no crystal stair"

I have spent many countless nights crying only to find  faith in God.

How could I believe in God if he isn't visible? you might ask

Well how do you depend on the breath that gives you life if you can't see it?

We are all different in our  own ways.

Some of us are covered in hot chocolate others in a dust of snow.

I could be nice and sweet.

But if you choose to be ugly I can also be Black and bitter.

Like coffee without no sugar.

So you think you have me all figured out?

Guess what?

Am a strong Black woman who's real name is

Kharisma
