2 WIDE 4 LIPPS was formed in the aftermath of the split of ATTIC TRAGEDY. Reuniting Live at JB's down,Kent,OhioKLEASMOS vocalist Ange and guitarist Jer, the band was formed in 1987 and was rounded out by bassist Don Brown and former Attic Tragedy drummer extrodinaire Diane Glaub. The band was known for it's punk influenced sound and its socially and politically reflective lyrics, which was a blend of the serious but twisted and humorous vision and personality of the band.
Released in the fall of 2000, HIGH AND TIGHT is material re-issued Don,Jer,Ange, and Diane from the late 80's Kent, Ohio quartet, and includes the full versions of the 7" vinyl FOUR THIN INCHES (1988) and the cassette HIGH HARD ONE (1990). It also includes the original 7"vinyl cover and insert art by Don Brown, along with art by Gerome, Mark Hughes, and promotional flyers and images from that era. Recorded at the Beat Farm in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988 and 1989, both releases were produced by the band and Chris Burgess. Done on a shoe string budget, the recordings capture the band's DIY sound and "jam econo" attitude.
