Dressed in black head to toe - complete 80's goth - Kent, Ohio style. With Aaron destroyingg his drums, Jeff Finn exhuming the bass, and Ricky slashing his guitar like an open vein, Mannequin Odd spewed a cathartic cigarette burn to your palm, with vocalist Steve Gang acting as you vicarious vehicle of angst. "Smother the Baby With Love", indeed. This band never really fit with the others in the scene, doing their own thing, which ironically made them fit perfectly. They were the cobwebs in the coffin of the Kent underground music scene.
The band had numerous guitarist - too many to remember or name - but the lineup mentioned typified the band. With no known official releases, but many a bootleg tape floating around, Manniquin Odd were an essential addition to the eclectic Kent music scene.
