Maybe I'm obsessed with not letting things end.
I would much rather freeze time in place,
pretending that everything is as it was,
rather than admit that things have changed.
It's really easy to do without new information, too.
I mean, how can I even be expected to come to grips with reality
when those who can tell me what it is shut me out so completely.
Because things have changed,
I can't be told what has changed.
It seems.
I guess
I'm still sitting here
reading A Horse and His Boy
while everyone else has just finished The Last Battle
And let their dreams be torn to dust.
