"Trading cds with a friend is like listening to their soul sing."

I've always found it amazing how the brain works. Categorizing memories together based on sight, smell, and, in particular, sound. So many songs remind me of certain time periods of my life. There are even artists who, no matter what song they sing, remind me a of a single person who recommended I listen to that artist. Years and years later I can still remember these simple memories or a person or a place or an event, from just the begining notes of a song.
