| Best of the British |
| Considering that Buffy is an American show, set in America there are a surprising number of British characters in it. Now I know that you'll all be saying, "but the Watchers Council is set in Britain!" And i'd have to agree with you, cause it is. Hence the whole Giles thing. But that is besides the point. Being British myself, I find it refreshing and quite amusing to see so many of my fellow countrymen (and women) in Buffy. It makes it much more enjoyable to see the Americans struggling with our quirks and our slang, and to understand the funny side of that. The British characters in Buffy have been brilliant, very well written. The main two have to be Spike and Giles. Together or seperately, these two have fought side by side in the Best of British characters. They get all of the best lines and can bounce off each other in a British slanging match! I slipped poison in your drink. You'll be dead in an hour. (Giles stares at him) Nah. Kidding!" (Giles) Christ, i'm gonna feel like hell in the morning. (Ethan) (ominous) "Yes, you will. (then drunk again) Kidding again. Relax. Stop thinking so much and enjoy the night. We're sorcerers and as long as there is such a thing, night is our time."
