Very reliable...of course, he's not Ryonan's Ace for nothing. He's also feared by many teams if not all, because as Captain Akagi once said, "Ryonan became a tough team when he entered." He scored 49 points vs. Shohoku in his 1st year in Ryonan high. He's very unpredictable, you'll never know when he'll pass or shoot. He never underestimates an opponent and appreciates other players talent (like Sakuragi and Rukawa for example). He's very fond of challenges (speak of Rukawa or Sakuragi or even Maki for that matter). Furthermore, he's the type of player who steps up when the team is in a fix (as they say in AXN) and that's why he deserves the Ryonan's Ace title (he's actually the *only hope* of the team). But most importantly, he's the guy who - with one word, the whole team will turn out to be determined once again. He has his way with words that influences people. And on top of that he takes failures and loses rationally with an open mind...he's definitely a true sportsman.

Moreover, this guy may look like he's not so serious on anything but believe me, he is. He may be seen slouching on courtside eating lemons or go running late for games without any serious warm-ups, laughing besides the fact that they're being spied on, and being so carefree in the last 2 minutes when they are in the brink of losing a game, still Sendoh Akira proved that no matter how uncaring he is on tear-jerking situations, he had always calculated the risk factors beforehand. So if you see him smiling maniacally, it means he's up to something...definitely unpredictable. And no doubt very smart.

Sendoh Akira as a student

Nothing known really, but one thing is for sure, he's very generous about time that's what Hikoichi said. And Uozumi even said he's untidy about it...so probably he's the "I overslept" type which it his actual reason when he came late for the Ryonan-Shohoku practice game. But he looks okay in school, though...although he looks sleepy at times and often feels bored...so I won't be surprised if he sleeps in class and just flashes smiles on teachers that gets mad...

But it cannot be denied that he has enough brains to reach 2nd year HS!

Sendoh Akira as seen by others

Always seen smiling...except for very few scenes as far as I remember...when they lost to Shohoku (the real game), his picture in the mythical five (he's not smiling, I wonder why), a scene in the Kainan-Ryonan match...but almost all the scenes he was in, he always smiled. He's very friendly - even shook Sakuragi's hand in the practice game despite being stepped on with regards to his sanity and reputation. Which leads to his being a gentleman type of guy...with manners on top of that...remember the Ryonan-Shohoku practice game he even offered Rukawa and Sakuragi a handshake to indicate his sportsmanship (and of course it reflects the manners). And here's the catch: I don't think he's living a simple life as an ordinary individual...he's so friendly that I believe his fans (which I forgot to say is probably second in terms of membership to Rukawa's) won't stop bugging him (coz he's so accessible)...don't you think? (Because I wouldn't stop bothering him if he would be talking to me and acting all friendly). Anyway, he's a potential flirt.

Unpredictable is another adjective for this guy. His smiling could indicate a lot of meanings and could hide a lot of emotions...really intended to fake other people...but nonetheless...the smile is either categorized as he's happy or he's hentai...just kidding!

Sendoh Akira as the boyfriend material

Outside court, Mr. Smiles is the epitome of the words crazy, sexy, cool. A pure gentleman and sportsman, the type to bring you home in his Porsche in one whole piece, with a side-line potential to do the craziest things given your permission. He would definitely make women crave for more.

If there's one more word that would exactly describe this bishounen, it would be matured. This player is so confident of his skills (because he is indeed exceptional) but at the same time humble...he never underestimates an opponent. He look at things in a broad manner and that makes this guy so boyfriend-material.
