Recent Pic of me at my computer...NOW.....Time marches on, whether we like it or not!

We went up in one of these a few years ago with HAL and MARY and DONNY and CAROL.  It's a great thing to do ONCE!  lol  HAL is gone now....and so is DONNY.

THEN.....A LONG TIME AGO!

Me, sucking my thumb on my Mama's lap, or grabbing my nose,  at a family reunion...She is the dark haired pretty, serious woman in the center.  She had probably just lost JACKIE shortly before the picture was taken.  The old biddy to her left is my Grandma, most likely one of the meanest old  women that ever lived!  The small man standing to her right holding his hat is my Granddad.  LAUREL is third from the right in the front row, directly in front of me...and KARL is standing to the far left.....handsome boy.  My dad is third to the right of KARL...in a dark necktie.  The rest are close relatives.  My sister and brother are still alive.  That is all I know of the rest of them.  Some of the cousin children are still alive in Michigan I think.

My sister, LAUREL, JACKIE, and KARL.  Who would have known that  a few short months later he would be dead?  It changed my life...I know that.   I didn't have him to play with or to protect me.

My Dad, EDWIN, (always known as SPARKY)  and sisters, MAUDE, the youngest, HALLIE, (in the back) and RUBY, the one everyone said I looked like!

These are my cousins, HERB and MARY, and our shared Grandpa, EDWARD.  He would be CHRISTOPHER'S great, great Grandpa.  MARY sure was delighted with that mangy old dog.  Is that a collar on him, or does he have an enormous smile?  HERBIE  was in the Air Force and was killed on his motorcycle enroute from Michigan to California to see me.  It broke my heart.  MARY died young too, from obesity.
