| Alternate Universe Buffy Summers is an L.A.P.D. Detective by day, and is part of an underground system that helps battered and abused women get away from their attackers (mainly husbands or boyfriends) by night. Everything has been going well with the mission until her latest case walks in the door. She meets Cordelia Chase, who is almost nine months pregnant, and is trying to flee from her abusive husband of 5 years, William “Spike” McDonald, who has threatened on numerous occasions to kill both her and their unborn child. Cordelia’s friends Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris decide to go to the F.B.I. when they find out about Buffy and Cordelia’s whereabouts. They meet Liam “Angel” O’Connor and Wesley Wyndham Pryce there, who become assigned to investigate the situation. Will Buffy be caught and sent to prison for helping someone in need or will she be able to get Cordelia as far away from her husband as possible before the government figures out what’s going on? Must Haves: B/A ending; Wes/Fred pairing Angel’s co-worker Kate Lockley going undercover and infiltrating the organization Buffy works to try and find Cordelia. Cordelia having preeclampsia (means that someone who’s pregnant would die within about 24 hours if their not found…or at least it will be in Cordelia’s case) Angel investigating all of Cordelia’s friends to see if they are somehow involved (her friends being Willow, Xander, Oz, Anya, Amy, even her ex-Doyle…these friends can be changed with the exception of Willow and Xander) Spike locating Cordelia’s whereabouts and holding her at gunpoint, along with Buffy herself and Kate. Buffy flirting with Wesley, while making Angel jealous Angel’s co-workers: Kate, Wesley, Fred, Gunn, and Connor Underground System: Buffy, Gwen, Kendra, Faith, Giles, and Jenny Spike beating up Faith, who helped Cordelia escape to a safehouse Optional: Spike’s brother, Lindsey, helping Cordelia escape and introducing her to the underground system A black car Cordelia carrying the baby to full term, or the baby being born still-born Giles’ profession during the day is as an OBGYN NC-17 rating Gunn and Faith having a one night stand before either of them met Buffy Spike trying to kill Cordelia, before the initial storyline. |
