| Calico Commerce, Inc. is a debtor-in-possession and has few operating
assets. The Company has historically provided interactive selling software
that enabled its customers to sell broad and complex product offerings
through their different sales channels, as well as direct to customers
over the Internet. Effective on February 6, 2002, the Company's
intellectual property and substantially all of its operating assets were
sold to PeopleSoft, Inc. (PeopleSoft), a provider of enterprise software.
As part of the sale, the Company filed a voluntary petition under Chapter
11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Calico continued its day-to-day
operations with uninterrupted customer support while the sale was being
consummated. After the Company completed the sale of its intellectual
property and certain assets to PeopleSoft, it ceased selling its products
and PeopleSoft began providing support of Calico's configuration
applications. |
