Eidos is a European independent developer and publisher of entertainment
software. The Company's publishing activities date from 1995, when it
acquired the Domark Group Ltd. with the Championship Manager franchise.
The following year, it acquired the CentreGold Group plc, which included
Core Design Limited, the developer of the Tomb Raider franchise. In
addition to Tomb Raider, Eidos has developed a broadly based publishing
portfolio, which includes a number of other franchise titles, such as
Championship Manager, Soul Reaver, Commandos, Deus Ex, TimeSplitters and
Hitman. The Company's core activity of publishing entertainment software
has become increasingly orientated towards the creation and development of
its own content. Historically, the particular publishing strengths of
Eidos have been in the action adventure, strategy and sports management
genres. In the past, the Company has taken a selective approach to sports
action. |
