for hospitals making the transition from paper-and-pen-based medical
records to an electronic environment through the use of an emergency
department information system (EDIS). The Company's systems track patient
arrivals (triage) through departure (discharge) in emergency departments.
Emergisoft markets two products for use in hospital emergency departments
and business offices: EmergisoftED, a fully comprehensive system that
manages the complete flow of patients from triage through discharge,
including prescriptions, medical records and the creation of graphical
records and patient's injury, and EmergisoftPF, a real-time, online
patient demographic and eligibility tracking system that allows hospitals
to ensure the validity of patient data needed for successful billing and
