| Midway Games Inc. develops and publishes interactive entertainment
software. The Company develops and publishes games for play on all the
major new-generation home videogame consoles and handheld game platforms,
including Sony's PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Microsoft's
Xbox and Nintendo's GameCube and Game Boy Advance, as well as the older
Dreamcast, PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color. The Company's
titles include many game genres such as action, adventure, driving,
extreme sports, fighting, role-playing, sports and strategy. In June 2001,
the Company exited the coin-operated arcade games business due to the
contraction of the arcade game market. The Company now focuses entirely on
developing and publishing new titles for the new generation of videogame
platforms. |
