Princeton Video Image, Inc. places computer-generated electronic images
into live and pre-recorded television broadcasts of sports and
entertainment programming through its patented computer vision technology
and proprietary hardware and software system, known as the Live Video
Insertion System (L-VIS). These electronic images range from simple
corporate names or logos to sophisticated multi-media 3-D animated
productions. During the broadcast of a sports or entertainment programs,
for example, an image can be placed to appear in various high visibility
locations in the stadium, on the playing field or as part of the natural
landscape of the scene. The L-VIS System has been used to insert images,
including advertising images and program enhancements, into televised
broadcasts. |
