(IT) services in India. The Company offers a comprehensive range of
services, including software development, system maintenance, packaged
software integration and engineering design services. Satyam uses its
global infrastructure to deliver value-added services to its customers to
address IT needs in specific industries and to facilitate e-business
initiatives. The Company began providing IT services to businesses in
1988, and, as of March 31, 2002, it had 7,898 technical associates
servicing over 300 customers worldwide. In addition to its core business
of providing IT services, Satyam has also selectively invested in related
businesses. The Company recognized the importance of the Internet to
India, and, in December 1995, created Infoway, which is an integrated
