Child Killed Crossing Street

Los Angeles—A young girl was killed yesterday evening after being struck by a car. Eye witnesses all stated that the girl, who is still unidentified, ran into the street while traffic was going and was immediately hit by a red Ford Explorer. The driver of the car did stop and try to assist the girl, and she did call 911 but little could be done. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are asking for aide in identifying the girl. She is between the ages of 11 and 13 years old, with black hair and green-blue eyes, five feet two inches tall, and 80 pounds.

Eye witnesses also stated that it seemed as if she was frightened and running away from someone but opinion differed on who her possible pursuer was. Some identified him as an African American man, about 6 feet 6 inches tall, between the ages of 25-35, about 240 pounds, well muscled and bald. The other man identified was a Latino man, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, and with a tattoo of a rose on his left cheek.

Child Struck by Car Identified

Los Angeles—The girl killed in a traffic accident Thursday night was identified as 12 year old Alicia Connell. She was claimed by her aunt, who was also her legal guardian. She will be buried on Monday in a private ceremony.

No clues exist yet to explain what or who drove her to run into traffic in the manner that resulted in her death. Her aunt, Mary-Anne Connell has stated that she assumed the girl was visiting with friends and did not know immediately about her disappearance. She is cooperating with authorities on….

Search Intensifies for Missing Girl

San Diego—Still clinging to the vaguest hope that their daughter is still alive, John and Mandy Faber, made a desperate plea to the media on behalf of their missing daughter, 13 year old Mary-John Faber. “Please, if you’re listening to this,” A tearful Mandy Faber said in a press conference yesterday evening, “Please return our daughter to us. We know you have her and you’re the one in control but please show us some mercy. Please let Mary-John come home. Please let everyone know what a good person you can be.”

John Faber even offered a monetary ransom for the return of his daughter, citing his considerable wealth and status in the community and a willingness to “pay any price” to have her back. To the knowledge of authorities no ransom note was left at the scene of the kidnapping, and no attempt has been made by the kidnapper to contact the Fabers.

Mary-John Faber was kidnapped from her backyard ten days ago while her mother prepared lunch in her kitchen. The only evidence left behind was footprints and signs of a brief struggle.

Mary-John Faber is 13 years old, about 5 feet 1 ½ inches tall, 82 pounds with long light brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information….

Man Found Dead in Dumpster

Los Angeles—The dismembered remains of a man were found in a dumpster last night outside of an abandoned ware house in East Los Angeles. Three homeless teenagers made the grisly discovery when they saw they uncovered a portion of his body going through the trash. The identity of the man, who is African American, is uncertain and only portions of his body were recovered.

Priest Murdered in Front of His Home

New York City—Authorities are looking for suspects in the attempted murder of Reverend Arthur Andrew Sullivan who was gunned down outside of his home in a suburb of New York’s Cardinal Village yesterday morning. The only witness to the shooting described a black SUV that pulled up to Sullivan’s house shooting him three times in the chest as he retrieved his newspaper.

Friends and acquaintances are stunned at the act which they condemn as senseless and without motive.
