Strait From The Man Himself

"geez, terry, kinda sad that I haven't updated the moseley speaks column since January!
well, I'm in a talking mood, so here goes
as of August 8, 2001: took my younger daughter to the zoo today- she wanted to see gorillas, zebras, crocodile and elephants. I gave her cookies to eat, a banana, some water from the drinking fountain (I'm low-budget these days!).
My older daughter is in Ireland with her mother, then off to Paris before she comes back to town to begin 9th grade.
I just shot a feature film called "Essence of Echoes," and tomorrow I'm auditioning for a movie called "Dragon Hunter," which shoots in Bulgaria! Aug. 11 & 12 is Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in Pasadena, CA, and I'm trying to convince my buddy ,Todd Bates, to do my Choptop makeup right there at the show to boost sales at my autograph table. Todd also played young Choptop in Tony hooper's All-american Massacre.

No news from Rob Zombie re House of 1000 Corpses- I did attend Rob & Sheri's Polynesian B-B-Q last weekend dressed in a grass skirt and plastic leis and goofy golf hat. Tobe Hooper was there with his girlfriend, Amanda Plummer; Karen Black was there with a bunch of 1000 Corpses actors and some of Rob's band members. Rob's finishing up his new CD, and i think he's planning a tour in October.

Well, that's about it.Still trying to find Buckethead for one more Cornbugs album. My mom's recovering from a broken hip, so I'd appreciate your well-wishes on her behalf. She can't walk too well, but, man, can she still play the piano!

Keep up the good work, Terry!

cheers, "

"s0rry I haven't been in touch lately- too much child care! lotsa soccer games
(older kid's an All-Star), baby toddling all over my pad, pets scrambling and
scurrying out of the way, etc. plus my friend Gary Lucas, he of the nuclear
guitar, was just in town from NYC at the Knitting Factory last night and had
me come up and read a poem about George W. during his show. so I've been
busy, busy, busy and not much of an appreciate movie dude to his fan site
fanatic! Cornbugs tribute sounds good- I mean, so far I've sold about 75
Cornbugs CDs, so getting a tribute is putting the corn before the bug, but
what the hay?!
otherwise, I'm looking forward to some rest one of these days, and hope you
and your blushing bride are having a happy new year.
p.s.
I'm in the midst of editing Cemetery Pinch with my buddy Sean Weber
Small, who recorded over 700 Grateful Dead concerts in their heyday and
engineered and co-produced Spot the Psycho. He's a wiz with fixing sound
problems, and as you might imagine, they are legion on our little four-track
one-take wonders on Cemetery Pinch. I'm also doing another Cornbugs album
with Tony Hooper, titled How Now Brown Cow and chockablock with Cornbugs
classics and weird sound effects courtesy of Tony's All-American Massacre."

"Xmas party at Rob's (Rob Zombie That Is) was hunky dory: I gave Rob & Sheri a funny voice scrambler; they gave me a cheese 'n beef log basket. One kid gave me a greasy skillet, the other one a nest of bees! (The Chainsawettes That Is) Ah, the glam life in Gollywood!"

"Happy holidays to you and your lovely bride"

"Cheers"

"Updates? well, I had a birthday dinner Saturday at an Old Hollywood restaurant called Musso & Franks. Rob Zombie & his beautiful girlfriend Sheri Moon were there, rob's manager Andy gould, my daughter Jane, 13, and her buddy Nadia, my buddy Cortney, and Buckethead! The food was lousy, the service was slow, but we all had a great time and lived to tell about it! "

"Me & buckethead are trying to finish up "Cemetery Pinch." It's hard to hook up w/ buck now that he's GNR lead guitar. Axyl has 'em practicing every day for hours on end. those guns n roses boys really have to earn their dough! me, I'm just settling back after a birthday (11/11), looking forward to completing the CD and getting it on the market.

"well, me & Buck just cranked out 14 new songs for our Halloween CD, working title "Cemetery Pinch." We did it in buckethead's kitchen in 7 hours (with an hour and half for dinner). It's got some awesome songs like "Poker Face," "Hades Greenish Crown," "Organ Donor," "Belly Like a Snake" and "Buried Child." I'm still sorting it all out, assembling the pieces, then I'll probably take it to Tony Hooper, writer/director of "All-American Massacre" and choptopsbbq.com webmaster, and he'll engineer it into something we can distribute to all the bad little boys and girls out there who could appreciate it!"

"Buckethead and I just cranked out some new material- 14 Halloween songs just last week. It'll take me awhile to organize the stuff, but it's pretty cool."

"I'm still pluggin' away on "corpses." can't say much about it, but I did shoot a new intro scene for my character, Otis; shot a new ending; and tonight we'll be reshooting the scarecrow attack. Friday night I'm emceeing the 4th annual Univeral eyegore horror Awards show at univeral citywalk here in Los angeles. and saturday and sunday of next week (oct 21, 22) I'll be attending the Hollywood Book & Poster Cult Film Convention at the Roosevelt Hotel here in beautiful Hollywood."

"I'm working on compiling a CD of Moseley Brothers stuff- no, I'm not kidding, there WAS a Moseley Brothers Band, played weddings, local teenage gigs in the Chicago suburb where we grew up. "

"Keep up the good work!"

"Cheers"
