Name of dish: Otak Otak
Ingredients:
500g fish paste
84ml santan
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 tbsp glutinous rice flour
1 tbsp chilli boh
2 eggs
1/2 tbsp sugar
(A) Blend (B)
6 small onions banana leaves
4 cloves garlic daun kado
2 stalks serai
1 pc 1" kunyit
1 slice lengkuas
5 pcs daun peluts
1 pc 1/2" belacan
Methods:
1) Mix ingredients with (A) until smooth.
2) Put a small piece of daun kado on banana leaves, add ingredients and wrap up.
3) Arrange otak otak on steamer and steam or grill for 10 minutes.
Tip: Grill or steam banana leaves before wrapping so that the leaves are softened and not easily damaged.
