NOTES:
For lovers of fine classical Indian music.
People may remember Bhatt from his collaboration with Ry Cooder back in 1993 on the album "A Meeting By The River"

From the Recorder:

The show was recorded by a friend who accompanied me, and I recollect very little "speaking to the audience" by Bhatt himself. It was a very intimate performance in the Adelaide Playhouse to an audience of about 250 people - 20/9/98. Most of the songs were referred to as "ragas" for certain times of the day, but were not referred to in title form. You'll hear that Bhatt is playing so furiosuly that toward the end of the 3rd passage, he breaks a string. On the recording it is very pronounced, but I can tell you in the theatre on the night, because of the resonance of the instruments, it litteraly sounded like an explosion or a gunshot. It was a rivetting performance. min 1 CD
