HONG KONG SQUASH MINI SQUASH COURT
Hong Kong Squash have a Junior Development Program the base of which is a Mini-Squash Promotional Campaign. Their current aim is to demonstrate Squash to all schools in the territory and so far they have done this for about 20,000 schoolchildren. They have designed their own transportable mini-court which can be erected in about 20 minutes. This is 8ft high, 12ft wide and 16ft long. A Drawing can be seen by clicking here. The side walls are made of clear plastic to allow better viewing. It has to be erected on any flat surface, such as a school playground, car park, or gymnasium. The rackets at present used are junior tennis rackets but it is hoped that supplies of the Dunlop mini rackets will soon be available. The balls are the Dunlop squidge type mini-ball which are one and a half times the size of an ordinary Squash ball. They is made of foam with a coated skin.
