The car was quite dirty when I finally got home. I scrubbed all of the
bugs off, cleaned out the radiator, and cleaned out most of the nooks and
crannies that I could get to without too much effort. I still need
to get a new set of tires for it, but since I don't plan to drive it much
for a while, that can wait. Most cases of "recreational driving"
gets handled with my Ducati
Monster this time of year, anyway.
Would I take another trip like this one if I had the chance? Yes, of
course. In fact, if I'm not employed full time by the middle of September
I'm going to take the car to all the National Parks in California that I didn't
get to on the trip in May. I'll probably also include Crater Lake
in Oregon, since it's not that far over the border. There are a lot
of great roads in the California mountains that I would like to visit.
