like half of america, i'm against the war on iraq (the other half love NASCAR and/or live in trailer parks). but i believe that there should be something done to change the regime in the country. i was talking to an iraqi friend of mine (who has his whole family in baghdad) and he said that most of iraq is living in fear and hope that saddam would be overthrown. but bush shouldn't do it. it's obvious that he has ulterior motives... and with most of the world against the USA, attacking iraq will just be more bad news... and possibly inviting more terrorist attacks.
why are there so many american who proclaim that the USA is the best country in the world? what do they base that on?? we're not the only country that has FREEDOM. is it because we have the right to bare arms? WHAT KIND OF REDICULOUS RIGHT IS THAT? i love this country but we are FAR from being great. and who says that USA can push any country around? definitely not the UN.
and WHY IS BUSH STILL PRESIDENT??

thanks to tony (20minutes), everything's ready for the camping trip this weekend... tents, sleeping bags, stove, fishing poles, food, alcohol... are we missing anything? oh yeah... PEOPLE! everyone backed out on us. jason, tony, and i (the 3 single guys who have trouble remembering what first base is) are the only ones still down to go camping. my friends rarely all hang out together anymore. i think we're goin through some kind of segregation process; all the coupled-up people are doin their thing (hey let's triple date! uh, steve, why don't you come?) while the singles cheer each other up (let's go drink, talk about which one of us do you think is the first to get married, and then go home and cry). just like i've noticed all my married co-workers hang out together and the singles hang out together... some kind of relationship-based social order. i guess that's just the way it is. anyway, i don't want think about it. it's still gonna be fun under the sun camping out in pizmo beach...

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! KOREA BECOMES THE FIRST ASIAN TEAM EVER TO ADVANCE TO THE WORLD CUP SEMIFINALS!!! watching the game in the heart of k-town was unbelievable... in a city of snobs and superficiality, the streets were blanketed with a sea of red soaked in love, pride, and pure happiness. there's no way i could describe in words... but it was the first time i felt the spirit of 'my people'.

last night's creative fight club was unreal. i've never attended any event with so many nice people with so much talent like that before in my life. it was definitely a humbling experience. anyway, i'm definitely goin to the next one in august.

with the uncertainty of having a job next week, buying a 1969 convertible on a whim, and trying to find my peace with god, i've been thinking alot. i think this is what's called the quarter-life crisis. i work all day and then go home to an empty apartment with a bag of del-taco... and the only thing i look forward to is working out at the gym at night (is it just me or are only really hot girls joining the gym??) and sleeping in til 9:30am on the weekends and spend the day doing household tasks (which consist of vacuuming, watering my dead plants, and throwing away empty bags of del-taco). i don't see my friends much anymore since most of them are in relationships (jimmy 'the mole' and jane just had a baby boy today! congratulations!!) and i'm turning 26 in exactly 1 month... offically goin into the late twenties...
the strange thing is... even with all these thoughts goin through my mind... i don't think i've ever been happier. (or maybe i'm just in denial... maybe i just need a date)
anyway, i'm gonna be attending the BD4D creative fight club tonight in LA. should be interesting to see what the top westcost designers have to show-off.

it's amazing how much can change in one day. i woke up this morning thinking 'how bad can a monday be with the sun shinning so bright?" ...then the only thing i thought was stable in my life is not so stable anymore. there was a meeting today informing us that there are gonna be some lay-offs in the next few weeks at my company... and marketing/creative sevices are always the first to go...
anyway, i guess all i can do is pray.

what's up with the weather these days? isn't it spring time in so cali? the weather definitely effects your mood. i'd be on prozac if i lived in seattle.
anyway, i was thinking that romantics die off too easily and too fast in this world... which explains why people are so grumpy when they older. so any of you out there in or out of bad relationships, got cheated on (or currently getting cheated on), or just plain broken-hearted... don't loose hope. yeah it sucks and hurts more then anything... but if let your heart turn to stone, all you're doin is hurting your future love (or soulmate... if people still believe in that).
anyway, can't wait to pick up my converible this week... god says i'm wrong but i still think happiness from material things is still happiness.
