Related Powers: Power Amplification

Your character reminds others that superpowers are just signs reading, "Nullify me." This Power can negate the innate superhuman abilities of others. To nullify the Power, your character must possess an intensity higher than the targeted Power's intensity; otherwise, nothing happens. If the character succeeds in the action, the victim's Power goes away; it does so without regard to the effects, so a flying character would fall and a sightless character with radar would suddenly go blind.

Even if successful, Power nullification does not immediately cancel a Power that's currently in use. This usually gives the victim one chance to respond before the Power disappears. So if your character hits a victim with a nullifying beam, the civtim gets a chance to react with the Power before the nullification takes effect. One chance only, of course, but that might be all the victim needs. However, if the victim then wants to flee the scene, he or she had better be able to do so without the Power.

This delayed effect means that most character who rely on nullification get used to the concept of surprise attacks. Also, nullification is temporary, lasting for only a few minutes. If this period lapses or something else makes a lost Power return, it cannot be used immediately.

Limit--One Power Type Only: Your character can only nullify one type of Power, such as Mind Control or mutations or Magic.
Stunt--Dampening Field: Your character can project the nullification to all within firing distance.
Stunt--Extensive Nullification: Your character's nullification works for a long but still temporary period of time. This is the most anyone has been able to achieve with an innate nullification Power, though some equipment can make this nullification permanent, such as in the case of anti-mutant inhibitor collars. If a character loses a Power permanently, it would not be unbecoming for the player to beg for his Powers to be restored. There are no other mechanics or Powers that will restore the Power.
Stunt--Restoration: Your character can restore any Power that he or she nullified.
