Precognitive individuals--"precogs," to the tabloids--can divine certainty from the future of an uncertain universe. With all of the alternate dimensions and reality warping that tends to happen in comics, a precog can never know if what he or she sees will come true, but most can bet on it. Precognition can be a curse as much as a boon--after all, who wants to foresee their own death?
When a character uses Precognition, the character's intensity determines how far he or she can see into the future.
| Intensity | Distance |
| 1 | A few seconds |
| 2-7 | One minute |
| 8-11 | One hour |
| 12-15 | One day |
| 16-19 | One week |
| 20-23 | One month |
| 24-27 | One year |
| 28+ | More than one year |
Note that Precognition allows the character to see the future, but not the chain of events that leads to the future. For example, a precog wants to know what'll happen if she opens the door in a spaceship. Using Precognition, she gains an image of the power shutting down and all the airlocks opening. Fearful, the character doesn't open the door--and doesn't see the saboteur on the other side as he whacks away at the system controls with a sledgehammer. Boom! The lights go out and the airlocks open. Guess you just can't trust those hunches.
One final note: Time in this universe is quite flexible. Just because something doesn't happen quite on your character's schedule doesn't mean it won't happen. Fair warning.
Limit--Contingent on Truth: Once the Power is used, it cannot be used again until the image seen comes true.
Limit--Dreaming: The Power manifests itself only in dreams.
Limit--Hyperrealistic: The images are so realistic that the character must possess a Willpower score of 16+ to stay sane when glimpsing the future.
Limit--Intermittent: The Master(s) of the RPG choose when the images appear and what they say, whether or not you want this to occur.
Limit--Object Specific: The Power works only on objects, and the character must be touching the object to read its future.
Limit--People-Specific: The Power works only for divining the futures of other people, who must be in physical contact with the precog.
Stunt--Danger Sense: If the character gets a glimpse of the future that allows deduction of fight actions, he or she is rewarded a Danger Sense at the Power's intensity for that combat round. This bonus also applies to anyone the character can tell about the danger in time.
Stunt--Precognitive Travel: Your character can teleport to the site of danger, but always at the time of the image seen.
