Notable teachers

Mrs. Vilma Clerigo
My Physics teacher in 4th year, Mrs. Clerigo had been my very supportive trainer when I competed for the National Super Quiz Bee Division Level (in which I became runner-up). I fondly remember her as a humorous woman with sharp wits, her words laced with honesty.

Mrs. Mena Batocabe
"Gng. Batocabe" was my advisor and Filipino teacher in 4th year. She is fond of cracking jokes at our hearty expense, but does not fail to support us in all our endeavors. Her guidance led us to the Dasayawit '04 (Dasal, Sayaw, Awit) Championship. She acted as our second mother in school, ready to brighten up our day with a smile.

Mr. Jasper Suquila
The Christian Values Education teacher in my 3rd year who had made the largest impact in my life. With "Sir Jas," my mind discovered new horizons and developed critical thinking shaped by intellectual tolerance of beliefs and ideas. He smashed the unhealthy biases in my mind by the means of his unconventional teaching methods. He believes that the most relevant lessons in life are learned outside the classroom. He is also a good friend in times of need.

Mrs. Sonia Buhay
My 2nd year advisor and Social Studies teacher. Mrs. Buhay is close to me, being friends with her son Joshua. I was her favorite student back then, and still asks my hapless brother about my whereabouts to this day, being Social Studies teacher to my brother. She is very malambing and is very interested in the lives of her "anaks."
