looks:Saiyajins were once a very primitive cave men-like people, closer related to apes than men. They have tails, and with their tails, they can turn to giant ape-like monsters, called oozuro form, when they look at the light of the moon.(artificial or natural)There is also a legend which is also a reality in the series, that a saiyajin can transform into a super strong form that makes them a huge amount,HUGE AMOUNT, stronger. It turns thier hair golden and creates a golden halo around thier body, called super saiya-jin(abv. s.s. or S.s.j.)

origin:it was believed that the saiya-jins lived on a planet called Plant that was inhabited by another race called that tsufer-jins.The Tsufers were a so called "advanced civilization"and had cities like earth does(in Dragonball). The Tsufers did not fear the saiya-jins,'cause the saiya-jins were so primative and so few in population,But on the other hand the saiya-jins were about twice the tsufer-jins size, and a lot stronger. But still the tsufers did not worry, for they had technology on thier side.

One Day the Saiya-jins started to come out and try to overcome the Tsufers. The Saiya-jins won many battles and lost just as much, until one night a full moon appeared, which only happens once in 8 yrs. on Plant. The Saiya-jins turned oozuro(turned into giant Apes)and crushed the Tsufer-jins easily. Then the saiya-jins had technology, and became a little less then advanced civilization. The saiya-jins, now not being primitive, crowned a leader,a King. They crowned the strongest and most ruthless,King Vegeta. He then named the planet after himself. From then on the planet became known as Vegeta. The King then took a Qween and they had a son who he named after himself, Prince Vegeta.Frieza, a planet conquering tyrant, and his family recognized the strength of the Saiya-jins and hired them for his services. They were space pirates, conquering planets and selling them.Very dirty work. Then one day the Kami(guardian) of Vegeta became angry and sent a bunch of metiorites crashing into the planet, only 4 saiya-jins survived. This is the believed story anyways.

The true story is pretty much the same except the end.Frieza Was afraid of the Legend Of the Super Saiya-jins,He thought the Saiya-jins would one day overcome him.So he just plainly blew up planet Vegeta after killing Vegeta and his body guards.Frieza took a liking to Little Vegeta, and kept him in his care. Prince Vegeta had another saiya-jin companion/body guard,Nappa. The other two saiya-jins happened to be brothers, one was sent to destroy earth when he was a baby just as Frieza blew up Vegeta. The other's story is unknown. The one sent to destroy earth was Kakarrot,His Older brother was Radditz. In the movie series, 2 others escaped, a father and his son, Brolli and Paragus.

Super Saiya-jins:The Legend of the Super Saiya-jin is that every 1,000 yrs a super strong super saiya-jin warrior will emerge. They usually can only maintain the intence strength in oozuro form. The emmence power can overwhelm a saiya-jin,and make him go mad.The original super saiya-jin in the series is of course Son Goku, but in the movies the origianal is Brolli. But all of the saiya-jins in DBZ turn SSJ

Super Saiya-jin rules:

• 1.Must have some Saiya-jin Blood
• 2.Enough power or potencial to surpass regular saiya-jin
• 3.Only extreme rage triggers transformation

Appearence:

All hair turns gold, and eyes turn bigger and green

Each transformation into a different stage hair gets longer and more spread apart

The highest form is SSJ 4 even though it is not really SSJ,it is the strongest form a saiya-jin can reach, but it is kinda like it surpassed SSJ.You're like half Human half ape,you have red hair all over your body, except the upper chest, head hair is blackish-red,and face looks longer and more concerned, like an ape, hair turns ALMOST origianal style, you get really big and buff, and your tail turns longer.(/align>

Useless info & Myths:

It becomes easier to transform SSJ each time Differing from popular belief, not all full blood saiya-jins have black hair...vegeta's is brown. there's a whole thing about having to have a pure heart to transform...load of crap. Vegeta doesn't naturally turn SSJ 3 or 4.Bulma has a Brute Ray that makes him transform.
