Chronicles of Gundamia Chapter 1 "Welcome Shuttle 9," came Trieze's voice over the comm, "welcome aboard the JSS Valiant." "Wow! It looks even cooler up close!" Rini studied her view of the JSS Valiant. Something out the corner of her eye caught her attention. She turned and found...the moon. While everyone else thought it was a lifeless graveyard, she was the only one who saw it as home. It was really too bad her mother was dead and her father went missing; she could've gotten to go and see them one of these days. "If you think it's nice now, wait till you get inside," Duo said. "Looks like I won't be so bored anymore," Essy put in her two cents. She looked to the other three and found Rini looking at the moon with a faraway look in her eyes, unblinking. She knew the whole story and knew Rini missed her mom, dad, and her home. "Rini," Essy tapped her shoulder. "Yo!" she said it a little louder and snapped Rini back into reality. "Huh?" she turned to her friend. "What? Are we there?" "Yeah," Essy spoke in a soft voice that only Rini and herself could hear. "I know you miss your parents, but you could always wish them back with the Dragonballs, right?" Rini blinked. Why hadn't she thought of it before? "Of course! You're like a sister to me. Thanks, Essy," Rini smiled sadly. She was glad she had friends like Essy. Soon, the scenery changed and Shuttle 9 and its passengers found themselves in the Cargo Bay. They exited and carried with them what belongings they had. All Rini had with her was a duffel bag that read KAMEHAMEHA across one side and DRAGONBALL across the other. It was filled with all she needed (and wanted) to take with her. Trieze came out to greet them. The four passengers from Shuttle 9 saluted him. After they all talked and got the low-down of the place, they went to find their quaters. Diana was soon discovered to be already on board with Tucker. Rini was rounding a corner when she tripped over something. Heero, who happened to be rounding the same corner, caught Rini's fall. She looked up, straight into Heero's deep cobalt eyes, and blushed furiously. [For once, I'm glad I'm a ditz,] Rini thought. "Sorry 'bout that," she jumped back, suddenly regretting that small move, and picked up the object that she tripped over. Diana and Rini gasped as it sparkled. "It's an orange..." Rini began. "Authentic..." Diana's eyes widened. "1-star..." they chorused. "DRAGONBALL!!!" they jumped up, high-fived each other, and Rini shoved it into her duffel bag, and the two prepared to leave. "What's so special about that?" Heero asked, referring to the Dragonball. "Well, it's FACT, not just legend, that if you gather all seven of the magic Dragonballs, you will have the ability to summon the Eternal Dragon known as Shenlong, and you can make ANY three wishes you want. We have seen Shenlong ourselves," Rini explained. "What do you plan to wish for once you gather all seven?" Heero asked. Now he was curious. "We're planning to wish my mother back to life, my father and family friends back from their sudden dissappearance, and for my home to be restored. It was destroyed by the former OZ, and now that I've gotten my revenge, I plan to restore the ruins that they created," Rini replied, somewhat bitterly, but not intentionally. "ANYTHING you want?" Duo popped up out of nowhere. "Well...there ARE limits. It has to be in Kami's power, otherwise," Rini spoke in a deep, masculine voice, "'YOUR WISH CANNOT BE GRANTED.' Well, gotta find our rooms still. Z you later!" Rini flashed a V sign, giggled, and wondered off with Diana, leaving Heero and Duo. After they rounded a corner and were out of earshot, Duo elbowed Heero's side softly. "WHOO! Man oh man! I saw the WHOLE thing, from Rini tripping over the Dragonball to her leaving!" Duo whistled. "Smooth move, Heero Yuy! Looks like you've got yourself a grrlfriend!" Duo began to sing. "Heero and Rini, flirtin' on Wing! K-I-S-S-I-N-" Heero slammed his fist into Duo's side and left. "...G..." Duo said in a weak, wounded voice. Holding his side, he limped off. After everyone found their rooms, they were all assigned small daily chores and soon it was lunchtime. Everyone gathered into the mess hall and chowed down. There seemed to be a contest between Duo, Rini, and Diana on who could eat more food. While Duo ate faster, Diana was able to cram in the second most, and Rini outate both of them. "Those three must have bottomless pits for stomachs," OceanLord said. "I second that," Sara said. "I'm in total agreement," Micki said. "Me too," Misty agreed. "Who would've thought a woman AND a cat could outeat Maxwell?" Wufei blurted out. Every girl in the mess hall glared many icy daggers at Wufei. Even Rini and Diana stopped for a minute just to give Wufei their patent Piccolo and Vegeta Glares. All the guys sweatdropped and Wufei looked VERY nervous. "WE THOUGHT WE TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING US, 'WOMAN'!!!" all the girls shouted in unison. The whole ship seemed to shift at that. "Hmph," Wufei brushed it off and continued eating. Suddenly, the intercom was activated. "ALL CREW MEMBERS, RETURN TO YOUR STATIONS IMMEDIATELY! I REPEAT, RETURN TO YOUR STATIONS IMMEDIATELY! ENEMY VESSELS HAVE BEEN DETECTED!" Noin's voice was heard all across the ship. Lunch ended early and everyone returned to their battle stations. From the tone of her voice, this was no drill.
