Lake House
Sometimes jacks will rule the realm,
They grab ahold and take the helm.
I don't want them steering me astray,
Not when I have plans for the day.
Don't tell me what I want,
I don't even know myself.
I'm just tired of waiting for it,
I want it to be here already.
Our decisions carry weight
That squeeze our spinal cords,
There's no way to know,
If it's just the fact that we're bored.
Gone in an instant,
Trust that took so long to build.
Why stand in the fire,
When the palace is so inviting?
