Ice Cream

I lived my life with rocky road,
Sometimes cookie dough.
Mint chip always frightened me,
Until it kissed me on the cheek.
Strawberry always smiled at me,
When no one else was looking.
I dabbled in lemon,
And peanut butter,
Until I found the ultimate taste,
A strange but delicious tangy one,
Peach and cherry pie.
It tasted so good it hurt my teeth,
I got a few cavities.
So I went back to my faithful friend,
Double chocolate delight.
As life went on, I fell into fudge,
And almost settled on it.
I guess when you've had enough chocolate,
You prefer vanilla.
