One is considered the best yogi who regards every being like oneself, and who can feel the pain and pleasures of others as one's own, O Arjuna. (Lord Krishna in Shrimad Bhagvadgita 6.32) |

Again, is there anyone in this world whom lust has not made a puppet of? Who has not been maddened by the thirst for enjoyment and whose heart has not been inflamed by anger?
Shri Ram Charitra Manas |
It is not the fault of spring season, if leaves don't grow on a KARIRA tree. It is not the fault of the sun if the owl can't see during the day. Cloud is not to be blamed if no raindrops fall into the mouth of the cuckoo.

God has not promised
Skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways All our life through; God has not promised Sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain. |
But God has promised
Strength for the day, Rest for the labour Light for the way. Wings of Fire |
The Nation that sweats more in peace bleeds less in war.

Brother, there is no virtue like benevolence, and no meanness like oppressing others. I have declared to you, dear brother, the verdict of all the Vedas and Puranas; the wise also know it. They who inflict pain on others even after attaining the human body have to suffer the terrible pangs of birth and death. Dominated by infatuation and devoted to their selfish interest men commit various sins and thereby ruin their prospects in the next world. Figuring as Yama (the god of death) for their sake, brother, I dispense the fruit of their good and evil actions. Realizing this, those who are supremely clever adore Me, knowing the cycle of births and deaths as full of pain. They renounce actions which yield good or evil results and take refuge in Me, the lord of gods, men and sages.
| Lord Rama explains Bharat the path of salvation Shri Ram Charitra Manas Karma phala tari ichhu naye kaam Tuka mhane varma dau loka Our actions will yield the results that are due as per the cause effect relationship. That does not mean that we should allow our mind to get full of desires for anything that we do. Tukaram Maharaj wants us to understand this basic theme. Tukaram Gatha One must elevate and not degrade oneself by one's own mind. The mind alone is one's friend as well as one's enemy. The mind is the friend of those who have control over it, and the mind acts like an enemy for those who do not control it. Bhagwadgita (6.05-06) |
