Nightbeat

An Autobot Headmaster who is able to transform into a blue sports car. A great detective as well. In the comic Nightbeat was not shown to be a Headmaster. His Japanese counterpart was called "Minerva" and she was different colors and had a female human component.

Comic Bio (US):

Nightbeat's first appearance was with his fellow Headmasters Hosehead and Siren on the planet Pz-Zazz. Searching for the Matrix, he became involved in a mystery surrounding a bird of prey statue that many wanted. Nightbeat learned that it was some kind of lifeforce container which kept the planet alive, and returned it to its stand on top of a large mountain. Although this restored the planet, the Autobots were immediately shot in the back and captured by Thunderwing.

He soon became subject to Thunderwing's mind-probing devices so Thunderwing could learn what the Autobots were up to. When Thunderwing got mad at Ruckus, he knocked him into some machinery, damaging the mind-probing device. The trio escaped and entered Grimlock's ship (which had been taken by Thunderwing). When it arrived on the Ark and Thunderwing started to thrash the Autobots, Nightbeat harpooned Thunderwing and launched Grimlock's shuttle out into space with him attached to it. When the shuttle self-destructed, Nightbeat was also almost sucked out into space.

Nightbeat's next endeavor was the investigation into Ratchet's "death". Seeing that no remains were found on either end of the transdimensional portal, he sent a probe into "unspace" and found Ratchet fused with Megatron. When Ratchet/Megatron were brought aboard the Ark, they went berserk and attacked everyone, including Nightbeat.

Nightbeat was next seen when the Autobots surrendered to the Decepticons in New Jersey. In a fight between Scorponok's and Shockwave's Decepticons, Nightbeat tried to stop the fight by putting a gun to Scorponok's head. When the Neo-Knights got involved with the fight, Circuit Breaker was shot in the back by Shockwave, but when she turned around she sees Nightbeat, she blasted him instead. When the Transformers were subsequently teleported to Cybertron by Primus, Nightbeat's unconscious body was in contact with the Neo-Knight helicopter. As a result, the Neo-Knights in it were also teleported.

Nightbeat took part in the Unicron war and survived. Sometime later, Nightbeat was working at a computer at the Autobase on Earth when it got attacked by Jhiaxus's forces. Later, when the Swarm attacked the Earth, Nightbeat was one of the many Transformers trying to stop the Swarm. Not wishing to be feel themselves being consumed, Nightbeat and Dirge self-destructed while surrounded by the Swarm.
