-Airbag-It starts off at the end of the story, with a car crash. This can be looked upon at 2 differnt levels. First, as a literal car crash, "An airbag saved my life". On the second level, it is metophoric, about crashing from the hectic life, not being able to take it. It is, as you said, about second chances, he has a chance to change his life from what it was. Then, he starts looking back on his life.

-Paranoid Android- This is a picture of our charector. The wants to be left alone to rest, relax. When thom holds "Whats that" you can hear wispering "I may, be paranoid, but not, an, android". This is the charector in denial of the machine he's become He dreams about being in charge, "When I am King, you will be fast against the wall". wanting to rebel against soecity. The second part of the song "Rain down, comon rain down on me, from a great height" Is about the burdens society places on you. It is also a religious reference, with God being up high (It probobly want intential, but that whole part also reminds me of a song they played at church when i went (foreced to go)). "The crackel of pig skin, the yuppie's networking, the panic, the vomit"-further describing the life we live in. "God Loves his children"-O, the irony.

-Subterranian Homesick Alien- is about our charector dreaming of being swept away, of knowing the higher truth. "Of all these weird people who lock up their spirits, drill holds in themselves, and live for the secrets" It is makeing fun of everyone, because they are uptight and how they love gosip and such. At the same time though, it is ironic because the charector is uptight, because that is the way society has made him, programed him.

-Exit Music (from the film)- is a song of 2 levels. First, it is about Romeo and Juliet type charectors trying to escape their parents. On the second level, it is about our charector trying to escape soceity. He is though, caught in the act, and brought back, by responsoblity and "instincts" that have been programed into him since birth, need for money, food, things ect. "We hope that your rules and wisdom choke you" This is about the resent he still feels for soecity and it's leaders.

-Let down- is about being back in society. It starts with images of transport, the hectic life we live in. It shows people not happy, but clinging onto bottles. The second verese is about breaking free, "Growing Wings". But its useless to dream. And the realization of this is a "let down". "Crushed like a bug in the ground". This is the dream, of growing wings, dead.

-Karma Police- is about how even though our charector hates society, he sub-concously persecutes others for not fitting in. "Karma Police, arrest this girl, her hitler hairdo is making me feel ill and we have crashed her party". Here he is making fun of a girl, who was doing fine, and in doing so, exposing her to the Karma police, which are kind of like the Thought Police, in that they conform Everyone. At the end of the song though, he wants out. "Karma police, iv given all I can (Other part of concous reminds)-Its not enough-Iv given all I can-But we're still on the payroll-meaning the singer is still receiving the benefits of forcing others to conform.

-Fitter, Happier, More productive- This is a break in the story line, it is a totally objective view of our charector. It shows what a waste his life is, the pointless and hypocritical things he does. The song is full of the excuses people make, the the justifications. In the end the voice conclues the charector is just a "Pig, in a cage, on anti-biotics". The pig refers to the "Kicking squeeling gucci little piggy" in "Paranoid Android". It is our charector. A pig is also an animal that is domestic, tame, and usually thought as dumb, like our charector. The cage is representative of the mental cage our charector has been put in since birth. The anti-Biotics are representative of the technology that keeps us alive, makeing our lives "more productive"- The irony.

-Electioneering- is a song about how politics works, and how we are controled. The title is a play on words. The election has been engeneered by the politician who will say whatever it takes to get your votes. "Well i go forwards and you go backwords"-The rich advance, the middle and lower class the slaves. "and somewhere we will meet, hahaha"-It will get better soon, we will be equal sometime (then he laughs). The second verse is about how politicians control the people with "Riot shields, voodoo economics, cattle prods and the IMF". The cattle prods are symbolizing how we are really just cattle, easliy pushed around.

-Climbing up the Walls-This is the whole in my interpretation, i Just dont get this song. The best I can do is it is about some part of the charector's concious that is trying to wake him up, "climbing up the walls" in his head.

-No Surprises- Our charctor is getting pretty tired of this life. He wants to be sedated, just be happy. In this song, the charector believes ignorance is bliss. "Ill take a quiet life, a handshake of carbon monoxide" "No alarms and no surprises".

-Here, is where the car crash happens, before lucky, after No surprises-

--- -Lucky- is about the realization of a second chance, after Airbag. "I feel my luck could change". I'm not sure who sahra is, but she or whatever she represents is helping him. "Pull me out of the aircrash, Pull me of the lake" The aircrash is the same as the car crash in what it represents. The lake is the awful place where the singer had been. "Im you super-hero, we are standing on the edge"- The singer speaks to the listener, saying here is an example, follow me, we are standing on the edge of great things.

-The Tourist- is about, well, a tourist. It is our charector, after leaving society, his old ways, going back for a visit. Like "Climbing up the Walls", im not quite sure about this song. Another possiblity is that this is the song that precedes "Airbag", which would make perfect sence with the lyrics "Hey man, slow down, slow down, Idiot, slow down, slow down". Or, mabey hes just talking to someone else. -----------------------
