Pub Crawl - A Holy Loch Tradition

St. Andrews Cross

Let's Go On A Pub Crawl!

Hunter Quay Hotel

"Janis serving up a pint of heavy"*
Janis serving a 'heavy' at our favorite pub.

Janis** worked at the Hunter Quay Hotel, a fine establishment where I spent many of my pound notes.

* I've had several people mention that this is a Lager or an Ale or a Cider.......  I don't know why the light is hitting the glass this way, but it really was a "Heavy"  Then again, maybe I had one more than I needed to pass my alcohol "recognition test" that evening.

**  Guess that I had better be careful with the pictures that I put on this web page, seems Janis' had relatives who saw the page and now her husband has e-mailed me.  Promise, next time I'll get permission first :-)    By the way Janis, you made my wife and daughter feel very welcome.  My family really appreciated the wonderful introduction to Scotland.

Aleen (sp?)

Aleen (sp?) Another fine employee of the Hotel.  (I better be careful, I'll here from her husband next!)  You and Janis were great hosts, my wife and I are greatly appreciative, thanks!

Mellville's, always a stop on a Pub Crawl

When you left Mellville's, it was always a tuff climb up "ferry brae"

Update (courtesy of "TLP"):  Melville's is now McClure's and is a popular watering hole for the younger generation.

"How Did We Get To London? I Know This Is Great Pub Crawl, But That's A 7 Hour Train Ride!"
Hardrock Cafe, London. Got to love that sign
