Awoken Heart

Awoken Heart

The unused force,
Once anchored my body to the ground.
Dashing sense, into swirls
Of dreams and subliminal reality.
Now the darkest sense of matter,
couldn’t weight me down.
Burning freely,
Living life, lightly,
All your sense of grace,
Has awoken my sleeping heart.
Tears long ago shed, fade into memory,
Cries of joy now,
Instead replenish me.

Screaming silence,
I rise up joyfully.
Heart now pounding,
Pouring life back into me.
Whispers on an echo
Of self-impaired morality,
Disappear, now no one can see…

My awoken heart now beats life,
Willing to share.
Once too weak to smile, now too giddy to frown,
Senses of bliss now run deeper down

Sleeping wishes now emerge,
Fulfilled by a soul now,
Willing to go down with me.
Makeshift wings, I fly over all.

So, now I take you…
On a journey still yet to be written
Come with me,
Shadow no longer swims over me.
For you have awoken my heart…
And it no longer beckons to sleep…
Take my hand…fly with me.
