| Lilith: first angel (debatable second angel) The fabled first wife of Adam and in many ways is quite possibly more important that Adam. She was what initially lead to SEELE being created. (notice the eyes of Lilith in SEELE's logo?) She is said to have been the first wife of Adam but was not composed of anything from Adam and thus went away from him. She eventually mated with Cain and created the rest of humanity. She is partially the cause of the third impact when she fuses with Rei. |

| Adam: Second angel (debatably first angel) The creation of God and the original human and "giant of light" He is the cause of the destruction of Antarctica and thus the Third Impact. Humans discovered Adam in Antarctica where the testing the S2 engine. Mankind tried to play god and god didn't like this. Adam awoke and tried to find Lilith but was reduced to embryo state and thus became a part of NERV experiments on how to create eve (or eva). The shrinking of Adam released a huge amount of power and thus caused the second impact. |

| Sachiel: the third Angel. Sachiel = Angel of Water First Angel to attack in the series. It , compared to some of the others, has the most humanoid appearance (undoubtedly beaten my Tabris) Sachiel's weapons were some sort of particle beam, a hammer-punch forarm device, and the ability to amass muscle strength in its limbs. Sachiel was met by a non-trained Shinji in Eva unit-01. Sachiel was only defeated by Shinji after unit-01 went into berserker mode. Sachiel in a desperate attempt to win self-destructed in unit 1's face. It was a failure. |

| Shamshel: the fourth angel.
Shamshel=Angel of Day. An isectoid angel. Its weaponry includes 2 razor
sharp tentacles that can cut through practically anything. In episode 3 it
became the second angel to attack Tokyo-3. Shamshel literally hacked
through Tokyo-3 and in the process of fighting unit-01, it cut the unit's
power cable. Shinji, disobeying Misato's orders, launched a full on assault
on the Angel even with his power fading. In the long run this would be beneficial;
As shinji killed Shamshel, he left the body in tact giving NERV a full
Angel specimen to study.

| Ramiel: The fifth angel; Angel of thunder. Ramiel is quite possibly one of the strongest Angels defensively, if not overall. It is the third to launch an attack on Tokyo-3. Within seconds, Ramiel disables unit one with a high energy blast from the core. Ramiel then releases a shielded drill from its body and slowly begins to drill towards Nerv HQ. Aprox. 10 hours later the angel has broken through the layers of armor protecting Nerv and has penetrated the geofront. It took a high power sniper shot and the near sacrifice of rei and unit-00 to stop this angel. |

| Gaghiel: The sixth angel; Angel of fish. This is the first angel in the series (that had been seen up to this point) That wasn't involved in an attack on Tokyo-3. Gagiel attacked the fleet of UN battleships that just so happened to be carrying Asuka, "The second child", and her Eva unit-02. Was this a direct attack no the EVA? No. Gaghiel was searching through the Ships for some hidden cargo ni the fleet; namely Adam, the second (or first) angel. The angel was destroyed after unit-02 opened its mouth and let 2 battle ships rush into the opening. Gaghiel got a nice gut full of cannon ammo. Yummy ^_^ |
