In addition to daily homework assignments, there are two (2) projects that students should always be working on.
1. Book Report- Each marking period the students are required to
hand in a book report on a book of their own choosing. There are only two
requirements for this book; it must be at least 100 pages in length, and it must
be about American History. Students will
be given a Rough Draft packet to guide them through the writing process. They
are also given the due date for the report at the beginning of the marking
period.
2. Current Events- Each student will hand in a current event on the first day of the month (Oct. 1 to May 1). This article may be about any national or world event that the student feels will affect history in the future. The article must contain a summary and a reflective viewpoint on why he/she feels this will be history.
