The only survivor of his village, Dende was rescued from death by Gohan and Krillin in the Frieza Sage. After Kami merges with Piccolo, Dende becomes the guardian of the Earth, and creates his own set of Dragonballs. Dende is a healer not a fighter. He has no fighting abilities, but posesses the power to heal others from the brink of death.
