What's New in Conquering C++?

Coming soon:

  • RTTI (Run Time Type Identification)- this has been in pending status for quite sometime (still pending!) - will come in www.sstutor.com

11 Nov 2006: SStutor.com is launched; so I shall be updating that site only - the C++ tutorials are available there.

14 April 2006: Updated the page on Copy Constructors (including the addition of new topics; seems like I've missed uploading the latest page online!) - Also thanks to Kalyan for having pointed out a mistake in the section on copy constructors.

25 March 2006: Been working on another website and thus unable to spend time on this but rest assured that we'll be having a lot of updates soon. The other website is on mainframes (and finance and some other misc. topics): http://krexpress.tripod.com

Have been spending more time on learning computer organization and the lower level architecture of computers. Also exploring the world of .NET (specially ASP.NET).

6 December 2005: Currently learning about micro and macro architecture and so it'll be a while before I start doing any major updates.

12 November 2005:

After a good long break, we're back with updates! Learnt a little bit about the SPARC machine and it's assembly language, thanks to Malin (who pointed out an error in the first exercise section on the postifx ++ operator). Explanations regarding the ++ operator have been updated; so do check out the first exercise section

16 May 2005:

A new section taking a closer look at polymorphism (Poly Polymorphism!)

09 April 2005:

I'm also experimenting with a bit of JavaScript on my webpage (Added a random generator thought for the day in the Contents page right at the bottom).

Also created a Test yourself page (an online evaluation page).

24 May 2004: I've put up all the stuff in contents part 2 (the remaining 2 chapters have been added)....C++ PART - II

Soon I'm planning to add some exercise questions. Also I may soon move this site into a new URL (where you won't be getting all those script errors that are generated by the geocities server).

15 May 2004: I've put up C++ PART - II It's not yet complete (2 more units to add) but do send me feedback about the new layout.

15 May 2004: I've completed the first page of contents on basic C++ (added the chapter on Pointers today). The NEW CONTENTS PAGE The second part is under preparation. I'll probably put up one chapter of the second part by tomorrow.

10 May 2004: I've had a lot of requests to reformat the website layout and I felt it would be better to reorganize the entire tutorial. I am in the process of revamping and any suggestions would be welcome (esp. from those of you who have seen the old layout). 7 Units of C++ have been added (I'm working on the reorganization of the remaining 7 units - wanted to complete it this weekend but I was busy dissecting my PC and learning about hard disks). So for now check out (please report broken links): The NEW CONTENTS PAGE

02 May 2004: A revamp of few of the OOP sections. I think the explanations are better now. Also added new sections dealing in OOP.
