Alan
Luo Is Very Fond of Nail Polish
Alan's best friends, Jolin and Selina, also love to have manicure. But Alan
didn't tell stories about Selina who was rumored together with him, but talks
about Jolin instead. When Jolin knew that he loves to have his nail polished,
Jolin said, "So disgusting and girly!", but now Jolin seemed to accept
his habit nicely. Alan said that he hopes that Taiwanese teenagers can follow
this nail-polishing trend.
Loves his Limited Edition Shoes, Alan Carries it through rain
For
the sake of his new album promotion, last 25th of October, Alan Luo went to Bing
Dong and Tai Nan for an autograph session, and then went back to Taipei
afterwards by car. When they reached Xin Zu, there was a very bad typhoon which
caused Alan, who was asleep in the car with his crew, surprised.
When the typhoon calmed down a little, in the afternoon, Alan was going to the
TV station for shooting "Yu Le Xin Wen" show. For these album promos,
he spent quite some amount of money to buy a few pair of shoes for accessories.
Every pair is a limited edition which priced thousands of NTD. The company
promotion staffs was worried that his shoes will get wet because of the typhoon,
so they reminded him not to go out wearing such an expensive shoes. Because he
loves his shoes which priced around NTD 15,000 Alan was forced to change and
wear a sandal instead, and after they reached the location, he changed back to
his favorite sports shoes. So as not to lessen his "cool" aura, he
purposely chose a pair of black Nike sandal. (SportyYetChic: Oh come on! even
if he's just wearing a pair of slippers he still looks cool! haha!)
From Singapore Online Paper...
Mirror,
mirror, I'm vainest of them all
HE
introduced pop princess Jolin Tsai to the wonders of manicures, and sparked her
craze for nail art that has since become her trademark.
He
was also the one who introduced boy band Energy's Penny to the importance of
skincare, and they now go for regular facials together.
Meet
Alan Luo - arguably the vainest guy in Taiwanese showbiz.
The
singer-host was in town over the Christmas weekend to promote his latest album
and perform at the Affairs Of The Heart Charity Show.
At
first impression, the 26-year-old looks just like any other male celebrity:
Expertly-teased hair, baggy hip-hop clothes and just the slightest hint of
foundation on his face.
Shake
his hands, and you'll realize his nails are unusually shiny, well shaped, and,
erm, pink.
Spreading
his fingers and glancing at them with admiration, Alan said: 'I like how it
makes my nails neat and clean, and how just a dab of colorless polish can make
my nails so shiny.'
His
beauty regime consists of twice-weekly manicures, pedicures, facials and visits
to the spa.
Alan
also carries around two mirrors with him at all times, so that he can 'check out
my front and back at the same time'. He was also only too happy to pose in front
of the mirror when asked.
Alan
shrugged: 'I don't want to wait till I'm old, and then have to resort to plastic
surgery.'
CAN'T
SWAY JAY
He
has been trying to get his celebrity friends to join him, but R&B prince Jay
Chou refuses to cave in.
Alan
said of Jay: 'He doesn't mind going shopping with me, dressing up and stuff, but
draws the line at going for facials.
'I've
told him many times that he needs to take care of his skin, but he 'da si dou bu
qu' (even beating him to death can't make him go).'
Of
course, Alan wasn't always that vain.
According
to him, when he was a kid, he was so fat and pudgy that all the kids in school
made fun of him.
'I
was bullied because of my size. They would grab my schoolbag and throw it away.
So I decided to lose weight, and started exercising and dieting.'
It's
no surprise that most of Alan's best buddies in the business are girls, like
Selina from girl group S.H.E, hosts Makiyo and Dee Hsu Hsi Ti.
While
they have been linked to him in gossip columns, Alan maintains they're only good
friends.
'I
offer them a shoulder to cry on, and the best thing is, I'm good at keeping
secrets.' And since all these girls are known to be vain pots themselves, who is
the vainest of them all?
Alan
pointed his thumb inwards with a smug expression.
'It
can't be anyone else.'
