Students and staff from St. Mary's worked together to raise over $13,000 to build a school in the Dominican Republic. Approximately $9,000 was raised through two city wide car washes, our Lenten Penny Drive amounted to approximately $3,000, and the remainder of the money was raised through a huge garage and craft sale and a charity basket-ball game involving St. Mary's students vs. members from the police and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats football team. |

Approximately $70,000 is needed to build "Santa Maria" in Las Caobas. Our long term goal is to raise $1 million to maintain the school, provide medical assistance, and to help with other projects in the area. |
